This is one of my very rare mink cats ...

I've only made a few cats occasionally over the years.

It has been 5 years since I last made and offered a cat 

for adoption.

Sitting height is 7 inches

Standing height (two legs) is 9 inches

Standing height (four legs) is 6 inches

This cat has 6 joints including a double jointed neck

Custom Teddy

This is a Custom Teddy for Dee.

It includes a monogram quilt (of the owner of the mink stole)  from the mink stole lining.
The quilt is hand-sewn and has a surprise ... I left the original pocket attached,
this will be a good place to "hide" special little treasures.

The paw pads are also from the mink lining.

 I used my "Hearts and Flowers" teddy bear pattern

(this is the same pattern that I used to make my "Pretty in Pink" Teddy.

I didn't give this teddy any flowers but I could not resist giving each foot pad

a tapunto heart.

This teddy stands 10 inches tall.

6 joints including a double jointed neck.

The nose is embroidered, waxed, and sealed.

Gently hand-painted detailing.

Glass eyes.

This teddy is completely hand-sewn.

Personally this teddy reminds me of Pooh Bear.

You can't see it so much in the photos

but in person the color, big tummy, small paws, and 

the charming head ... just made me think of Pooh Bear.

My Mink Cats

 I have not made a mink cat since 2009 ... that's 5 years!

Now that I have a Special Request for Custom Made Cats I have to figure out how I made these cats, so I am doing research of my own cats. I did save my cat patterns but I have several versions of each of these cats ... so I need to make another mink cat to try to help me remember how I made these cats, in 2009, before I start on my Custom Cat since I don't want to make mistakes using a family heirloom mink that does not belong to me. 

That means that I will have a Mink Cat that will be available for adoption soon ... so watch for my "Mink Cat Available for Adoption" email if you are on my General Mailing List.

Custom Order

For this custom order the teddy pattern that I used was a pattern that I designed in the mid-1990s and it remains to be one of my favorite patterns. I named the pattern "Brody" and this is actually the teddy bear  pattern that was featured in the book "The World's Most Lovable Bears" by Stephen Cronk. This teddy is 10 inches tall, glass eyes, embroidered waxed and sealed nose. For the custom teddies I use the lining for the paw pads. 

The remaining 4 teddies are each about half way

completed but I have some other custom orders that

have deadlines ... so I need to stop working on this order for now 

but will get back to this order after I've met my other deadline orders.
